hello capiz! My family originated in Capiz. My lolo used to tell me beautiful stories about the town but unfortunately, I have never been there. I would love to come visit. I would also like to ask if the local government has old files about families in Capiz. I have been trying to make a Besana family tree since I was in college. Please email me if you have any info. Thanks

To my Dear Friends and Family in Capiz, Also to all of the Business Leaders and Government Officials in Capiz, This post is directed to the leaders of the community, both in government and business, about some exciting opportunities to gain exposure with US-based firms, as well as other Philippines-based businesses. From a personal standpoint, my heart for Capiz comes from my wife, Lilibeth, and her wonderful family that live in Barangay Bato. I will be happy to discuss our relationships in the area on the phone, or when I visit next time - I just wanted to let you know that I do have a connection with Capiz and that this is why I am writing this message to the community there. It is my sincere desire to help bring business opportunities for the citizens of Capiz; to help bring prosperity, and where there is suffering, help to reduce it. This can best be done by building Commerce, and creating jobs. I would like to take this opportunity to inform you about a significant conference event that is rapidly gaining increased attention. I am a member of the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of the Pacific Northwest (FCCPNW) based in the Seattle area of the USA. Our Chamber is a very active one, here in the home of Microsoft, Boeing, Starbucks, and many other large companies. Our Chamber is partnering with the National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA) to present a compelling business conference - "Partnering Works." The conference will be held in Seattle, WA, USA, on September 25 and 26. We have received word that the President of Philippines, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, will be attending the conference with a trade delegation. Also, the Philippines Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, are partnering with us to make this event a success. Because of my personal ties with Capiz, and because of the overwhelming interest we are receiving from organizations in Philippines in general, I would like to extend my personal invitation for you to join with us, build relationships, and build commerce with others that are doing the same. We would love to hear from leadership in Capiz about potentially joining us as a partner, or otherwise getting the message out to the community about the opportunities that this conference will bring. The conference site is here: www.partneringworks.org The PCCI partnership page is located here: http://commercemashup.com/FCCPNW/2008/08/pcci/ If there are organizations in Capiz that are interested in partnering with us, or attending, we would provide the same type of exposure on the conference site. Additionally, businesses within your community could contribute information to the site, whether they attend the conference or not. We are creating an Online Business Community to help Filipino businesses reach the US Mainland, and it is our Filipino Chamber of Commerce here that would like to bring you these opportunities. Please feel free to contact me anytime. We welcome the participation of Capiz and Capiz-based businesses to make this conference a success for all involved! Take Care and God Bless, Greg Lins Filipino Chamber of Commerce of the Pacific Northwest (FCCPNW) Online Business Community Affairs President, TLG Innovation, Inc. 1-425-646-8980 Skype: greg_lins
